I was pleased that I was able to open 2 new accounts...

I was pleased that I was able to open 2 new accounts without having to make an appointment, by filling in the application forms and bringing them back into Winchester (my nearest) branch, and that cheques were acceptable deposits. There was a minor panic caused in that the lady i/c told me that the cheques would clear in 5-6 days but in fact it was 2 or 3 days, so for 24 hours ( after using a cash machine) I wondered where my £20,000 had gone until I could get to my bank to check that it had come in and out of my account to yourselves much quicker than I was told.
