A valuable resource for the local

What I like is the knowledge that the Vernon is not part of a large anonymous organisation, with customer service teams often outsourced abroad. When you call you know you are talking ton someone who knows the area where you live and when you visit in branch there will be in person advice and problem solving. The rates are not always the best but they are competitive . Their regular saver ISA has been an excellent produce. As a local building society, the Vernon support their local community with awards and grants, giving members the opportunity to decide where the donations should go. Reviewed on: 27th January 2025
