Review of the Triodos Bank, Current account:

Room for improvement

My honest review of the Triodos current account is that if the bank didn't invest in sustainable and local banking, I would have a current account elsewhere. This is for three reasons: (1) no overdraft limit. This is a standard feature that I would expect from any bank. (2) No individual IBAN numbers. I am Canadian and occasionally need to transfer money from abroad. The idea that I need to transfer money to a central IBAN and then add my account number as the reference leaves a ton of room for error (especially if the money is being transferred from someone who is not me). Sustainable and local investing

Knowing my money is being stored in an institution that invests in sustainable and local projects is enough for me to say that Triodos is the most positive banking experience I've ever had. I don't have anything else to say about the bank, what I want to drive home is that I will always invest is sustainable banking and encourage everyone around me to do the same.
