The insurance I have been waiting 10 years for

Pay-per-mile. Such a simple idea, executed flawlessly. Pay for what you use; how you pay for early everything else. Because of the way I use my car, By Miles is perfect for my lifestyle, made even better when COVID forced working from home to become the normal. By Miles are a fantastic, app based company, with an easy to use app and clear and transparent costs. With a spending cap, even when I need to drive more than expected I still end up spending less than I would with any other insurer. Their customer service has been impressive too. Everything I want from a Bank and more

Monzo is the bank that I’ve been waiting for since smartphones and apps became a thing. The advent of the smartphone opened up the world to endless possibilities. One thing I wanted above everything else was banking that made it easier to do everything I need to do with money. Monzo delivers that. Budgeting? Check. Transferring money and paying bills? Check. Transparency? Check. Saving more money than before? Check. Quick and easy customer service? Check. They offer a superior and cheaper service than my old bank, so it was a no brained for me to switch. Sure the established banks are catching up, but Monzo continues to push the boundaries and I love them for it. They are by far the best bank I’ve ever had. Reviewed on: 13th April 2021

How to save without saving

Finding money down the back of the sofa, the loose change in my car’s centre console, the fiver I left in my jeans pocket that survived the wash. That’s how I use to find money I forgot I had. Now I use Chip. Chip is brilliant at taking my own money without me noticing and then giving it back to me when it’s big enough to be actually useful. I went on the trip of a life to Australia and New Zealand last year and thanks to Chips I took and extra £1200 with me, without any effort, belt tightening or changes to my everyday flagrant disregard for a budget.
