Credit card: awful value and misleading communication

After forgetting to pay my credit card bill, I was informed by email and immediately paid up -including a £9 surcharge. Later, I received a letter by mail informing me of the fee, which I had already paid, and that I would be liable for interest on it. What I was not told, was that my 0% balance transfer interest rate had been cancelled and I would have to pay monthly interest at an exorbitant rate of about 2% per month - way more than the £9 fee. I was given no warning of this until my next bill. I am not impressed - this is daylight robbery. Reviewed on: 19th January 2019
