confusing & unresponsive when most needed

I chose the Hyperjar app specifically for its retailer gift card deals with cashback. I've bought a lot, but sadly, it doesn't always work as it should when out and about. For example, on two occasions I was in a local shop, decided on the purchase and tried to get the gift card whilst I was there. Both times involved long delay and hassle. I haven't worked out why, but it works OK at home, and the 4G signal was not weak when out. The Q & A sections Hyperjar provide give no clues. The second time it happened, I had to give up - paying for the gift card went through but not gift card arrived until I got home, so I'd bought the gift card, but not received it AND had to pay the retailer for the item by other means. I spent double!!!! Ughhh Hopeless for purchases not fully planned in advance in these circumstances. Disappointing. I also find the multiple jars confusing; the way the funds are not available when you think they are (because they are limited to one shop, or are in the wrong jar). Simply too much hassle! Still, there is the free-of-charge foreign spending facility, which has worked Ok, and I have appreciated getting the cashback on gift cards, even if I've then struggled to spend the cashback due to the restrictions or being in the wrong jar.
