Zopa Smart Saver: A Simple Way to Organise Your Savings

Zopa’s Smart Saver has genuinely helped me get better at saving. The ability to create up to 20 different pots means I can easily separate my money for different goals - holidays, emergency fund, Christmas, you name it. Being able to see exactly what I’m working towards makes it so much easier to stay motivated and save more. The app is intuitive and smooth to use. It’s really easy to add or withdraw money directly from your bank, move money between pots, and take advantage of "boosted pots" where you earn more interest by keeping your money in for longer. That said, the interest rates aren’t quite as competitive as they used to be. Zopa used to top the charts, but now you can find better rates elsewhere if you’re willing to shop around. Also, since a recent update, it’s been a bit harder to tell at a glance which pots are boosted and which aren’t - and it would be great to have the option to rearrange pots manually. Overall, if you’re already a money-saving ninja, you might prefer a higher-rate option. But if you’re someone who benefits from having your savings clearly organised, Zopa Smart Saver is a brilliant tool to help you stay on track. Reviewed on: 12th April 2025
