Do Vanquis take fraud seriously?

I have a fraud issue and called vanquis to put a block on s company who I feared would try to take unauthorised payments. I was told the block was in place. The next day the company took money from my account. I called and asked how is this possible since they had been blocked and I had frozen my card on the app. The reason given was mumbo jumbo and so the agent said it was better to report the card stolen. As the transaction was pending nothing can be done. I called again 5 days later and asked for the money to be returned to my account. Again I was told that as the transaction was still pending nothing cam be done. It has to clear then I will need to fight vanquis for a refund. Reviewed on: 18th April 2025
