Awful branch service

The account is fine but the customer service is awful. If you ring up they don't help you, if you go to the branch you'll waste hours. What the hell have they done to their branches you have to explain to at least 4 people and wait in this very exposed waiting area until you get seen then they faff around for ages reassuring you that they'll solve your problem and then they don't do anything. Why can't you just wait in a queue and talk to one person on a counter and get it sorted? No other bank has done that and Barclays reckons it's improved their service Reviewed on: 26th March 2026

Customer service needs work

Fine now but took forever to setup the account as they kept delaying the security checks. I had to chase them repeatedly and it took weeks but I have the account now and it seems ok Reviewed on: 31st May 2025
