Cost me money

I opened a savings account. They kept lowering the interest, even more so when there was an interest rate cut. That pressured me into sticking a small amount of money into a fixed interest account. I was getting interest monthly and thought this new account was doing the same. I then found out this account paid 9 months later and paid interest into the following tax year and not using this years tax free allowance. Next years allowance is taken with other savings so i now lose 20% of £*** interest. When i noticed i contacted Atom and was told there is nothing that could be done.... No help whatsoever and will not be using again... Reviewed on: 3rd March 2026
