PayPal the only smart choice at the checkout

I have been with PayPal for 15 years and their platform continues to impress me. They offer it all pretty much. I take advantage of their checkout options. They have recently introduced a PayPal credit card be and a debit card, both available in a virtual or physical card. The credit card offers 4 months interest free for purchases over £99 interest free They also offer the option of their pay-in-3 whereby purchases can be paid over 3 months interest free! Which I personally find very useful Indeed. And as if that were not enough, useing the debit card and credit card allows you to gain points with every purchase through the relatively new points system made from purchases which translates into actual cash for you to spend as you wish either online or in store and they have lots of offers to gain higher points which is a great incentive. Not forgetting of course PayPal's professional stance throughout where they offer the reassurance that if any purchases encounter problems which cannot be sorted out with the seller then PayPal will step in to get it resolved. Last but not least the app itself runs very smoothly, everything is laid out and easy to understand. If the need should arise that you need help with you have the choice to chat on the app or to phone and PayPal's competent and friendly staff will have your query resolved almost instantly and they. One of my favourite things about contacting customer service is they treat you like a valued customer and really take their time with you to ensure that you are happy with the outcome which has always been, in my case at least, have always proved positive. PayPal does it all, even peace of mind!

Using PayPal when making purchases gives me peace of mind. I have had various reasons to contact them whenever issues arise. One of the most recent times was when I ordered a TV antenna advertised for £31 but only realised after checkout that I had been charged over £50. They had included extras that I did not order. I immediately emailed them asking to cancel the order. However, they did not reply and after several weeks the antenna arrived which did not even work and no extras were in the box. After a month of no replies from them I contacted PayPal for a callback which came almost immediately. PayPal customer service are very personable and understanding and assured me that they would solve the problem and get me my refund which was a huge relief as I felt I was effectively conned by the company so to me at this stage it wasn't even about the money in and of itself it was more about being scammed and goodness knows how many others. Needless to say, PayPal tracked them down and ensured I received my full refund. I have also had need to call them when difficulties arose with buyers on ebay. Once again PayPal helped me solve the issues over the phone while also explaining how to avoid certain issues if they arose again and they reassured me that they were only a phone call away. I love using their pay-in-3 scheme which allows making purchases easier by paying in 3 stages over 3 months. If I had to return items PayPal are very quick to refund any payments made. Finally something that I make regular use of is PayPals buy now pay later. This service has been invaluable to me when I make larger purchases for example a washing machine or a corner suite etc as you have 4 months in which to payoff the total amount and payments can be made as and when you can and both these services are interest free. What's not to love? I tell people all the time to try PayPals services as they are an exemplary company. Reviewed on: 26th May 2025
