Easy to use but be careful

Like all credit you should carefully consider its use before making a purchase with it. What makes PayPal Credit great, its ease of use and accessibility, is also what means you should be wary of it. It is available in lots of online checkouts now with 4 months interest free to pay it back. It is so easy to use with a few clicks. However, PayPal Credit is not a credit card and that has some drawbacks. You do not get section 75 purchase protection to my knowledge with PayPal Credit and you cannot balance transfer any outstanding balance to a credit card. Therefore make sure you pay it off within the 4 months interest free period, otherwise the interest is extortionate and you may find yourself stuck with a very costly debt. Like any form of credit; make a plan before using it, don’t go outside of your means and it is a very handy tool. Reviewed on: 27th May 2025
