Review of the John Lewis, Home Insurance:

Very poor service!!!

I took out home insurance with John Lewis home insurance thinking I was dealing with John Lewis who have always been a trusted brand in my home only to find out at a later date that in fact this is an outsourced business. When my partner and I became engaged I contacted JLHI to add the engagement ring to our home personal possessions cover. I was informed that the value was too high and as a consequence of this I I was told I had to find a new insurance policy as JLHI would not cover us any longer. I find a new insurer and go back to JLHI to inform them and then they tell me I have to pay a further £85.44 to cancel the policy even though it was them that were responsible for cancelling the policy. I explained that I shop with JL all the time but they would not change their mind and I had to pay. I have complained to JL but no replies. I feel totally let down and disgusted with the level of poor service and understanding. Never again with I be spending my money with JL in any form, period! Reviewed on: 30th May 2025
