I have massively benefited from having MCU Account...

I have massively benefited from having MCU as a means to save, outside of 'high street banking accounts'. MCU offers an account especially to save towards Christmas expenses, the funds become available from the, aptly named 'Christmas Saver Account' in, mid November. I appreciate the flexibility of the Saver 1 account where I can withdraw money if necessary, I can put in extra funds via the post office or my bank. Their app provides the details to be able to contact MCU by varying means. The MCU Busy Bee Lottery is a competitive amount of money in comparison to other lotteries and funds are raised to help local community projects. Loans are available to apply for and can be processed via the app once a Share 1 account is open and functioning. MCU is definitely a 'Go To' regarding improving financially and saving in general plus a big help if a financial hiccup should occur due to unexpected costs Reviewed on: 12th June 2026

A Very Happy And Satisfied Member Of MCU

My personal experience of MCU is and always has been, since becoming a member in 2011, a positive experience.The freedom of being able to save what I can afford, with the flexibility of changing the amount up or down whenever I need to is a valuable benefit. The Share 1 account and Xmas Saver have proved to be a brilliant asset for me. The Busy Bee Lottery helps local amenities and charities and is an option for myself to have a chance to win a prize, so those three services are a win win and are the services I use, all reachable through the app, that is clear and very easy to navigate.Whenever I have needed information I can reach the team through the message section of the app and j have always received a prompt reply. The option to ring in is available, the team are polite, helpful and have always achieved results for any enquiry I may have had. I have definitely raised awareness of and recommended MCU to many people I know, and will continue to do so. It is an excellent form of saving and helps towards improved financial stability, Funds are able to be withdrawn when needed from the Share 1 account whereas the funds in the Xmas Saver account become available to withdraw in November towards Christmas spending. Manchester Credit Union Is An Incredible Asset.

I have had a Share 1 account with MCU for many years now, since 2011 at least. It has proved to be an extremely useful and of much benefit financially. I have had loans previously though not currently, however the loans I have had are easily repayable whilst still saving at the same time. I also have an Xmas Saver account and it is so good to know that it is there at Christmas time for Christmas expenses. I also have taken advantage of the Busy Bee Lottery and even though I haven't had a win to date i like the fact that it helps to fund local causes. Reviewed on: 17th April 2026

Ease of Loan Application.

I approached Manchester Credit Union for a loan to cover home moving costs of removals, new carpets, window furnishings and gas cooker disconnection then reconnection fees. The online loan application process was clear, easy to complete and submit. I don't as contacted by email from that point on with the progress and whether the loan was available to me. MCU is a fantastic service which is hugely beneficial.

I've had a share/savings account with Manchester Credit Unions since midyear 2011. It has been immensely valuable for me. I've had 2 loans from them in the past both fully paid off now. I continued to save and since then I've had the benefit of the Xmas Saver, which is a brilliant way to secure funds for Xmas and benefit from the interest accrued on top of the interest from the saver account. Both levels of interest with MCU beat the high street banks interest rates which is major factor in continuing to save. Also I can add to.my savings via the post office using the MCU card provided with the saver scheme, along with my regular Direct Debit payment into the saver account, the DD can be updated and amended via my banking details, so the date of the payment from my bank is when I chose re my financial status. The payment frequency, IE weekly, monthly etc can be individually chosen, again an outstanding feature of the share account. The app is so clear and easy to use providing excellent information about MCU. I recently joined their Busy Bee Lottery via the app picking the date when the DD goes out of my bank account. I could not possibly find any reason whatsoever to not to continue with my savings with MCU and I constantly inform people of the brilliance of being a member of MCU, especially individuals who I'm aware are struggling financially, because MCU helped me to turn a difficult financial corner with a more lucrative hopeful outcome.
