Ethical banking that supports communities

I’ve had a great experience with Manchester Credit Union. The service is reliable, and their app makes managing savings and loans surprisingly straightforward. More importantly, I highly encourage others to join. Unlike big banks, they are member-owned co-ops, meaning profits stay in the community rather than going to shareholders. It’s an ethical, local alternative for anyone looking to build financial resilience while supporting Greater Manchester. Definitely worth making the switch! Reviewed on: 13th May 2026

I wholeheartedly believe in the credit union and actively encourage family and friends to open their own accounts. It's a great way to save money within our local community and the credit union can be a valuable source of support when the unexpected happens. Reviewed on: 13th June 2025
