Review of the Caravan Guard, Motorhome insurance:

Stressful start to the holiday!

We have just had to ring for assistance with our motorhome having a flat tyre. It's an American RV and it was the inner tyre of the double wheels. The lady we spoke to at Caravan Guard was very helpful. The man from Axa no so, he was very obstructive to the point of rudeness saying we were not covered and couldn't help us. We then spent 2 hours trying to get an independent tyre company to come out to us with no success. We decided to call Caravan guard again to say how disappointed we were because we were stranded. The lady we spoke was extremely helpful and said that if we immobile Axa had to assist us. The same man at Axa still tried to put us off but we stood firm and said if you are not going to fix us then you will have to recover us and take us home which would have cost far more than fixing this straight forward problem. Eventually he organized someone but even then the company that came out thought we were a car and not a very large motorhome! However the guy Gaz who came from LST Rescue and recovery services was extremely helpful and resourceful and together with my husbands help he got us back on the road again.
