Bad experience

The communication and process with this travel insurance company were extremely poor. During my trip, I had several hospital appointments and proactively sent emails to the company each day to inform them of my upcoming visit. Despite my efforts, the company failed to promptly issue a guarantee of payment for some of the appointments. This forced me to pay for the medical services out of my own pocket while I was on holiday. Although I did eventually receive a full refund, the reimbursement process was unacceptably slow, taking over a month after I returned to the UK. While I was fortunate to have the money available to cover the costs upfront, this is a significant flaw in their service. The entire experience added unnecessary stress to my trip and highlighted a major breakdown in communication and support. I would not recommend this company if you want a hassle-free experience. Claims are dealt with on a claim by claim basis and I am sorry that yours took a while to be resolved. If you are unhappy with the way your claim has been handled then you are able to raise a claim complaint. Details of how to do this can be found in your policy wording booklet.
