Exceptional Staff Let Down by Systems and Poor Value.

I rang to renew a policy after a text message informing me an insurance had lapsed that day. I had received a previous email four days earlier saying my policy was going to need renewal soon but it hadn’t provided a date (and usually they arrive weeks before the end of the policy). I called the number provided and spoke to a very pleasant and professional representative (Alison) who did her very best to provide me with a new insurance policy. Unfortunately she was let down by a terrible slow system and a panel of insurers who definitely didn’t offer value for money. After an hour and ten minutes I had to end the call (I had a work meeting I couldn’t delay) without getting a policy set up. I felt extremely sorry for the representative who had been so helpful and professional. That evening I went online and got a the product I wanted in fifteen minutes from a comparison site that was £100 cheaper. I used to insure four properties with Discount Landlord for over ten years. This has now dropped to two and I will sadly most likely stop using you altogether (despite the excellent and knowledgeable staff) as the systems are just so poor at providing customers with what they need.
