John Lewis at war with customers?

I have been insured with John Lewis for endless number of years. I have just realised they have overrated the premium on the Buildings. They are now at war with me - that is only how I can describe it. I spoke with them at length last year and agreed alterations to Sums Insured on Contents/Art etc. They did not do it and sent me a Renewal this year with no changes. They promised to phone me back following my complaints on various issues but failed to do so. I e-mailed them twice, chasing. They ignored those. I phoned them again asking they escalate my complaint. They now refuse to adjust the Sum Insured on Building even though I sent them a professional report from a Specialist with their calculations. They re-sent me the Renewal quote again, but it still does not show the requested edits to Sums Insured on Contents etc notified and agreed with them last January. They are not worth the money and they seem to relish being at war with their customers Reviewed on: 11th December 2025
