Excellent Digital Banking with One Key Limitation

I’ve generally had a positive experience using Revolut. The app is intuitive, fast, and offers great visibility over spending with real-time notifications, budgeting tools, and strong security features. Managing international payments, cards, and everyday banking tasks is straightforward, which makes Revolut very convenient for day-to-day use. However, one area that has been frustrating is the limitation on blocking merchants. While the ability to block merchants is a useful and much-needed feature, restricting users to blocking only five merchants feels unnecessarily limiting. As a customer, I should be able to block as many merchants as I choose, especially when this directly relates to account security, subscription control, and preventing unwanted or repeated charges. Allowing users full control to block multiple or unlimited merchants would significantly improve the experience and reinforce trust in Revolut as a customer-centric digital bank. This is a feature that should prioritise user protection and flexibility, rather than being capped at such a low number. Reviewed on: 12th January 2026
