Excellent staff and good saving rates

Branch staff are friendly and very helpful. Apart from a banking hub it is the only Bank/Building Society in the village for which I am very thankful. However it is not open everyday so I have to remember on which days it is open. I am saving to buy a new home and the interest rates on some bonds is better than elsewhere. The helpful local building society

Vernon is one of the very few building societies/banks that has local branches. More importantly it has a range of savings products including some with a high interest rate, particularly if you don't want to make withdrawals for a fixed period such as 1 or 2 years. Ideal if you are saving for a new home. Having a local branch is important as the staff are able to give advice about saving products and what may be best for you in your circumstances.
