Review of the Vernon Building Society, Savings:

having to start all over again late in life it was tough getting a mortgage after buying my brothers out of the family home but the vernon offered me a competitive rate had always saved with the vernon as a child as did the rest of the family my gran bought this house in the late 30s not her husband passed on eventually to dad who also re mortgaged the property for improvements . and then me so 3 generations of saving and mortgage's over the years have always found to be competitive friendly yes they cannot match some of the bigger rates that others offer and perhaps are not as modern on the way they do some things but the are local for local people and do get involved with community i would recommend the Vernon as honest and strightforward Reviewed on: 16th January 2026
