Revolut is great and when going abroad, I never leave home without it. The fees are simply the best out there and knock spots off of any other bank cards that I hold. I seldom need to carry any local currency when travelling, as my Revolut card is so readily accepted wherever I go. This is also a great aspect when travelling to destinations where safety could be an issue. Anyone finding my card whether lost or stolen, can only possibly access the amount I have in my account, which I purposely keep low and top up regularly. Another important aspect of my Revolut card, is that should it be lost or stolen, I can instantly freeze it and protect the funds in my account. Reviewed on: 19th January 2026
