Review of the Startline Motor Finance, Car finance:

Useless, lazy, can’t be bothered to help

This is the second review I’m writing due to the rejection of a car now 4 months down the line. Startline are the most useless finance company I’ve ever had to deal with. They aren’t interested in helping in the slightest every time you call you get fobbed off and told waiting on this waiting on that they just can not be bothered. I’ve been trying to reject a car now for around 4 months. The car was found to have a major engine fault within the first week of purchase and since then I’ve got absolutely no where with them. I’ve been without a car and struggling with 2 kids to even get them to and from school because of this company. They collected the car 2 weeks ago now and still each time I call to ask when I’ll be refunded my deposit I’m told they still haven’t inspected the car so I will have to wait. They’ve moved the car to 3 different locations and yet haven’t been able to inspect the car? Just more excuses not to pay me my money back. We have found the car listed on an online auction site so how it’s not been inspected I don’t know. Seems like they are waiting to sell the car before refunding me my deposit. Says a lot about the company clearly not one of the more mainstream finance companies as this isn’t how they deal with things. 4 months in I keep being told my case handler will be in touch and never once do they call off their own back. I’m pretty sure if I wasn’t constantly calling and they were left to their own devices this would go unresolved. Definitely wouldn’t use again and 100% would advise anyone else not to.
