Review of the L&C Mortgages, Mortgage broker:

L&C are great - their linked solicitors very poor.

I have used L&C for numerous mortgages, both Residential & Buy to Let, and always found them very good. Unfortunately, their recommended conveyancing solicitors have been repeatedly poor, making the completion hard work. I would strongly recommend using a different, preferably local solicitor. Such a shame, as it spoils L&Cs great reputation. Reviewed on: 5th February 2026
