Terrible Customer Service, No Client Care

After 10 years of 0 claims, I finally logged one with the Home Emergency Team, when our boiler experienced a fault. . Although the engineer was sent out promptly, we were told the boiler needed a 'part' and would need to be ordered. Despite being told that we would be kept 'informed' and the issue would be resolved within 5 days, I had to call up every day for an update. In each instance, they told me they "couldn't get hold of the trade, so there's no update on your part. Despite being told our case was being 'escalated', nobody called and I was told the manager wouldn't be calling as 'he has no update'. As of this writing, this still hasn't been resolved. The phone lines are useless and the representatives clearly have no real sense of how to handle claims or reassure customers. This service is awful, do not risk your families wellbeing with this service. Reviewed on: 17th February 2026
