Review of the Darlington Building Society, Savings:

I was rather disappointed last year upon changing our fixed term ISA as the counter staff told me that I had to do it online. The reason we chose the Darlington was that it has a walk in bank in the nearest town. Redcar. If I wanted an online ISA I could have the choice of many, some of which offer greater interest rates. We prefer to speak to a person rather than an online interaction. Or even worse, a bot. Reviewed on: 27th February 2026
