Think Twice Before Choosing This Insurer

I was the victim of a no-fault boating collision. Liability was clear from the outset, and GJW insured the other party. Despite this, GJW stalled at every single opportunity — delaying, deflecting, and refusing to deal with the claim in a fair and timely manner. What should have been a straightforward resolution became an exhausting and unnecessary battle. Their conduct left me with no alternative but to issue court proceedings against their insured. Only when faced with legal action did GJW finally agree to settle. In my experience, they demonstrated the very worst traits you would hope never to see in an insurer: obstruction, delay, and a complete lack of accountability. I have formally submitted complaints to the Insurance Ombudsman regarding their handling of this claim. If you’re considering insurance options, my advice is simple: look elsewhere.
