I thought investing wasn't for me

As someone that has a long-term disability the idea of investing can be really daunting. As there is lots of different opinions and options out there, with everything from you need >£10k to you need to invest in an index fund like the S&P 500 or you'll fail or even "if you don't invest at least £100 a month then you are wasting the power of compound interest." I found that Wealthify has really helped explain complex financial concepts in a way that is beginner friendly. I really like that I am able to invest money into an ethical plan that tries to have a positive effect on the world rather than gains at any cost. I also like that Wealthify reaffirm that even a small amount like £50 a months can have an impact over a long period. Reviewed on: 3rd March 2026
