They are not a serious business bank.

I had funds transferred to my business bank and they held them without reason saying it might take 20 days. I had a property transaction in 3 days or so and I ended up defaulting on that transaction and losing a lot of money. I spent days on their online chat being told scripted answers, no human to ring me, no escalation team until I really moaned then through to escalations who did not more than first line. And new people constantly picking up the chat and others leaving. For a £1.3m transfer in a business bank this is not acceptable. And the lies on the chat were disgraceful. I was then told the funds were being sent back, depending on the agent I spoke to this ranged from 5 days to 20 days. They could have been holding money I was paying interest on for 40 days, for a business that is a killer. Never ever use this bank for anything other than petty cash spending. They are not equipped for serious banking and I have the downloaded chats to testify. When I have more time I will be taking this to the financial ombudsman. Reviewed on: 4th March 2026
