I am deeply disappointed and shocked by Monzo’s behaviour. Not only did they close my account without warning, they also shut down my husband’s account the same way — no explanation, no courtesy, no genuine reason. Just an abrupt closure that left us confused, stressed, and inconvenienced. A bank that claims to be “transparent” should not treat customers like they are disposable. There was zero communication, no chance to resolve anything, and no respect for the people who trust them with their money. This experience has caused unnecessary emotional and financial stress for my family. If Monzo can randomly close accounts without warning, then no customer is truly safe. I would strongly advise anyone considering Monzo to think twice before trusting them with your hard‑earned money. Reviewed on: 11th March 2026
