Joint Borrower Sole Proprietor mortgage

I approached SBS directly for a JBSP mortgage in the hope of buying out my ex following a separation. I had been told by many mortgage brokers and other lenders that it just wouldn't be possible however, Stephen Lye at SBS took the time to talk through my options and spent literally months helping me to navigate this. Responses were fast and I always felt like Stephen and other staff at SBS were very knowledgeable about the products, process, etc. Phone calls were always answered promptly and staff were always helpful and friendly. I was able to get a JBSP mortgage with my mum and, as a result, my son and I have been able to stay in our home. Incredibly grateful to SBS and their staff! Reviewed on: 14th March 2026
