£3 a month is worth it - supporting a better option

"Value for money" doesn't fit that well as a concept when the reason you're with a bank is because they provide a current account and other finance products on the basis of more care for the environment and social issues. Yes I pay £3 a month but I get peace of mind that I am not just a cog in the machine of fossil fuel expansion and an uncaring system that continues to prioritise short term gains of a few over the long term thriving of everyone. It's beyond "value for money", because the liveability of our planet, and having more caring responsibility to one another, can't be reduced to monetary value. Reviewed on: 20th March 2026
