Good Balance Transfer Offers..... but it takes a month to put through

I applied for a Virgin Money account on 10th Jan 17 having keyed my credit cards in to complete a Balance Transfer. I then received a call from the Virgin Security team to approve the balance transfer and they confirmed that the request would go through shortly. I received the card and activated it shortly after. Nearly 3 weeks later the Balance Transfer still hasn't gone through and a call to their Customer Service Dept met with the response that it's usual for a Balance Transfer to take about a month to go through. Not in my experience with others banks! Because of the delay it looks like I will incur interest with my existing credit card so overall not a good customer experience. Reviewed on: 2nd February 2017
