Improving financial literacy with a Cash ISA

Before using Trading 212’s Cash ISA, I never really paid much attention to my ISA. I knew about the allowance each year, but I’d always lose track of how much I’d put in, and it just felt a bit confusing overall. Since opening one, it’s honestly been so much easier to stay on top of. Putting money in is really straightforward because it only takes a few seconds and shows up straight away, so there’s no second guessing whether it’s gone through or not, which is important particularly when moving larger sums of money. One thing I didn’t expect to find so helpful is how it shows your remaining ISA allowance. It sounds simple, but being able to just open the app and see exactly how much I’ve used (and what I’ve got left) makes a big difference. I don’t have to keep track of it myself anymore, which takes a lot of the stress out of it. I also like how transparent it is about where your money is actually held. It shows the partner banks, which makes it feel a lot more secure and less like your money is just “somewhere in the system”. It helps build trust with the users. The daily interest is probably my favourite part. You can actually see it building up each day, which weirdly makes saving feel more rewarding. Then it gets paid consistently on the same day every month, so it feels reliable and predictable too. Overall, it’s just made saving feel simple and easy to keep up with.
