I have checked my online banking for business and suddenly I had my account blocked with a minus 500 K in the account.Now I wished I had that overdraft but not the case. I called them and they logged a complain , just chase them and been told the account is under review , without telling me as to why .This was one day before I had to pay all my subcontractors and suppliers plus HMRC I am still waiting as we speak for them to refund me the money and tell me what is going on. If you a have a business that is trading more then a year , with the account submitted and taxes paid I am not sure why Barclays would do that .Our turnover is not really that high either , so trying to get to see how Barclays is supporting SME . After the issue will be sorted I will take my business somewhere else as definitely not worth the headache.I would not recommend ever .Luckily for personal banking I am with a different bank , that literally never did such a thing .I will also get a pre paid card just in case, some idiot decides to review my account. I have to mention that I did call Barclays branch in order to tell them about transactions coming in and the nature of the business , yet they just decide here and now which payment goes trough and which not .
