extremely unhelpful, awkward, extremely old fashioned, unhelpful dreadful ridiculous

I have had five relays of communication over proving ownership of my account. They have been extraordinarily awkward/ridiculous and their last correspondence has prompted me to write this because they have now very much entered the territory of ridiculing a customer. Why are they happy to devote so much of their time torturing individuals with unnecessary and extreme measures? They have not accepted a means of evidence that two other financial organisations have accepted. Reviewed on: 27th March 2017
