Review of the Triodos Bank, Current account:

A bank account to make a positive difference!

I'm so glad to have switched to Triodos! I've had an account with them for around one year now, and wish I'd made this change much sooner. Customer service was great when I needed to phone, a quick response and very approachable and friendly. The main reason I chose Triodos is their ethical values, and on this alone they're 10/10. I also opened a savings account, and even with the small amount in my account it says at the top of the page some of the impact (eg how many kWh generated by green energy as a result of the investment). Every little helps, so the more people switching to ethical banks, the more they can invest in a greener, community focussed future. The account works just like any other online bank, an easy to use app and contactless physical card/Google pay etc. The only downside is it's not possible to deposit cash into the account as far as I know (but you can withdraw cash at ATMs the same as any other bank), and you have to post cheques to them, but if like me you don't need either of these features it's a great account choice. Changing banks is easy, and knowing that the money Triodos holds is invested in high quality community and environmental projects to help make the world a better place is a very simple but cumulatively impactful way to make a positive difference.
