Improved massively, still room for more.

Lloyds have improved massively, but before the pandemic they were a bit of a mess, specifically in their anti-fraud triggers going off CONSTANTLY and bricking my cards, Apple Pay etc. It’s better now - although I’ve switched to using PayPal debit instead through the same systems. Also their credit card benefits aren’t great, they expire after 1 year when the card lasts for 3+ (e.g. no international fees). Cashback offers are new but have to be manually activated in the app, not great when it could be automatic. Being a longtime customer doesn’t really count for much. BUT they are generally reliable, give money as compensation when they screw up, and their customer service are generally in the U.K. which I LOVE. Reviewed on: 28th April 2026

Reliable payment processor, needs work on PayPal Plus.

Reliable payment processor, slightly cranky as they move more into the banking service space. The PayPal+ points system is a little wonky so far, especially when it comes to customer service’s interaction (or lack thereof) with it. Communication could be better too. But when problems do come up, they’re quite generous in fixing them. Reviewed on: 28th April 2026
