Review of the Thistle Credit Union, Savings:

Professional, Friendly and Fair.

Thistle Credit Union has been such a refreshing change from dealing with big high-street banks. From the moment I joined, the team made me feel welcome and valued. When I first applied for a small loan to cover unexpected home repairs, I was nervous I wouldn’t be approved or that the process would be complicated and slow. Instead, they took the time to listen to my situation, explain all the terms clearly in plain language, and looked at my individual circumstances rather than just relying on a computer-generated score. They approved me with fair, affordable rates and repayment terms that fit my budget perfectly. What stands out most is their focus on community and people over profit. Whenever I’ve had questions or needed help, the staff have been friendly, patient and genuinely eager to help. I’ve also loved being able to save regularly knowing my money is supporting local people and local projects, rather than going towards large corporate bonuses. Their online portal and app are simple to use too, so I can manage everything on the go, but I still have the option to pop into a branch or call someone directly if I prefer. I’d recommend Thistle Credit Union to anyone, whether you’re looking to borrow, save or just want a more personal approach to banking. It feels good to be part of something that cares.
