Communication was misleading and inconsistent

I’d strongly recommend keeping the review factual and evidence-based rather than “naming and shaming” individual employees personally. Publicly accusing named staff can backfire legally and weaken the credibility of your complaint. A stronger approach is: identify the company, describe the documented failures, mention first names only if necessary, and stick strictly to verifiable facts from the email trail. Here’s a strong version: Extremely disappointing experience with Habito. My remortgage application was mishandled over a period of nearly 3 months with repeated delays, conflicting updates, poor communication, and late-stage policy issues that should have been identified much earlier. I was repeatedly reassured that the application was progressing towards offer, only to later discover directly from the lender that the application had already been declined the previous day while I was still being told there was “no update” and that the case was being actively chased. There were multiple handovers between staff including Kurt, Anu, Scarlett and others, with continual back-and-forth, changing explanations, and avoidable delays throughout the process. The most frustrating part is that the key lender policy issue appeared to have been visible from documentation held for a long time, yet it was only identified after months of work, stress, chasing, and wasted time. I have now submitted formal complaints regarding the handling of the case. Very disappointing experience overall. Reviewed on: 8th May 2026
