BEWARE OF LV OVER 50'S INSURANCE SCAM. My elderly father has been paying £26.00 per month since 2009 on an over 50s Life Insurance policy starting with Asda insurance then taken over by LV insurance. Totalling £5200. I called them to change his address and was astounded to find the payout amount on death is £2044. You cannot cash this in and I am in the process of taking this to the media and financial ombudsman. Anyone else in the same position I welcome any advice. He may as well have used loan sharks. 120% profit from elderly people is scandalous. Predators! Reviewed on: 12th May 2026
