I honestly could not have asked for a better experience with GJW Direct. After suffering storm damage to my boat, I expected a slow, frustrating claims process filled with paperwork and generic call-centre responses. Instead, GJW Direct handled the entire situation with speed, professionalism, and genuine human care from start to finish. The claims process was exceptionally efficient. Communication was clear at every stage, updates were proactive, and I never felt like I had to chase anyone for answers. What really stood out was how knowledgeable and experienced the claims team were when dealing with storm damage specifically. They understood the urgency, the technical aspects of marine repairs, and the emotional stress that comes with seeing your boat damaged. Unlike many insurers today, GJW Direct still provides real human customer service. I was able to speak directly with helpful people who understood boating and had authority to make decisions. The underwriting team were also excellent — pragmatic, fair, and clearly focused on long-term customer relationships rather than looking for excuses to reduce cover or delay settlement. The value for money is outstanding considering the level of cover and service provided.
