Review of the PayPal, PayPal Credit:

Good credit product, poor customer services.

Applying for the credit account was straight forward and easy with no fuss. Terms and conditions are fairly generous so long as you pay off items within the 0% window, otherwise 30% is a bit steep. Customer service was not great, the chat AI can only respond within it's RAG knowledgebase and often cannot handle complex queries. Customer agents are not far better either as they too can only really respond with the information they have available in their knowledgebase so if the knowledgebase is dated, answers are not exactly helpful. I had trouble finding out if I could get a virtual credit card for my credit account but the agent could really only respond with "if you can get it, you can apply for the virtual card in your account", so found the agent to be lacking knowledge which tarnishes the customer-to-agent engagement. Paypal Credit is extremely convenient for online shopping and is overall, a fair product but customer services need more training and more access to current internal knowledge.
