Unfair £12 fee

I added money to my account, but a direct debit was attempted at the same time. As there were insufficient funds available when the payment was processed, the transaction failed. I was charged a £12 fee for a failed direct debit, even though I had already paid the amount beforehand. I would like this charge to be reviewed and refunded, as I was not late with my payment.
