payapl credit is scamming customers

I changed my PayPal Credit direct debit payment from the minimum payment to a significantly higher amount approximately four months ago. However, I was never notified by PayPal that this change had been made, nor was I informed that the direct debit would no longer be collected automatically. I did not receive any email, message, or other communication regarding this issue. As a result, I reasonably believed that my payments would continue to be taken automatically as before. Due to the lack of notification, I unintentionally missed a payment, despite the amount due being relatively small and despite having sufficient funds available. I am extremely disappointed with the way this has been handled. The absence of any warning or notification has caused unnecessary inconvenience and has undermined my trust in PayPal Credit. Customers should be clearly informed of any changes that could affect their payment arrangements, particularly when those changes may result in missed payments and potential damage to their credit record. I would like this matter investigated and an explanation provided as to why I was not notified of the change to my direct debit arrangements. Reviewed on: 5th June 2026
