Saving Grace that is actually there to help.

Disaster happened, panic set in, many creditors all with pending payments and not enough money coming in any more to pay them... One day to breathe and a scouring of Martin Lewis' website later, I found Step Change. And lo, they are a charity!!! Creditors and debt listed, communication between each creditor and Step Change secured, monthly installments decided and then space! 2 months of panicking, over one Monday morning. The debt is still there, but it is going down and I have my sleep back! Reviewed on: 15th June 2026
