Review of the Zable, Credit card:
View on product page

Great experience to start with, more average now.

4
The first lender to offer a credit card after some financial difficulties in the past, some of this adverse history was still on my credit reports when I applied to Zable, so I appreciate them giving me a chance to rebuild my credit history - and after 4 years or so of being a customer of Zable I have been able to keep up with all repayments across all lenders, and get accepted for other credit products from a variety of lenders, further increasing positive credit history. Without Zable taking a chance on me as a customer, this may have been more difficult over the last few years. Zable's app is great, it's not laggy and provides a lot of information such as spending analytics and offers for various other Zable products. Zable are very flexible with repayments, providing various methods and giving an opportunity to retry a failed debit card repayment - whereas other lenders that use direct debit charge fees for returned direct debit payments. Debit card repayments can also be changed right up until the day before the payment is due, whereas direct debits have a longer period to change. However, my experience in the last year or so has been more average, as despite most of my other lenders offering credit limit increases (some on a regular basis), Zable have not. They have on a few occasions offered an increase dependant on a bank account connection, but this has been declined each time I agreed to link my bank account. Without knowing what criteria it is being assessed against, this is frustrating as people use different spending and saving methods such as using wallet apps, and income may not always be a salary paid on the same date. I'm sure this can lead to bank account analysis not always providing an accurate picture, so I don't allow Zable to do this now, despite their suggestion that it 'can improve limit increase chances'. No other lender I have asks for this. Zable say that they do traditional limit increases too, I have received these twice but no offers for a long time, which is a shame for the lender I've been with for the longest. Also, my other lenders have offers such as interest free periods, balance transfer offers, money transfer offers and new features such as the ability to set up an instalment plan to spread purchases over a fixed period - and sometimes these instalment plans have their own offers of lower interest. Zable have none of these offers, and their interest rate is one of the highest. Funnily enough they offered a limit increase right around the same time as putting my interest rate up due to an 'assessment of financial circumstances'. So to sum up my experience - great at the start, but recently I feel as if I'm getting a better product from other lenders. I will stay as a customer with Zable and hope that I can make better use of their product in the future. Reviewed on: 17th June 2026
