BDL have completely changed my life - they are kind and sympathetic on the telephone, helping you understand the different types of debt or money problems that you have and the solutions for each. They follow up each call with an email so you don't have to remember everything which is particularly helpful for my health problems. They helped me create a budget and improve on areas by reducing costs and increasing benefits so this wasn't negative anymore. They actually helped me reduce my council tax by £1200 a year which was a benefit I had been advised for nearly 2 years I wasn't applicable for which removed this debt and allowed me to negotiate with other creditors for more affordable payments and to manage existing debt. The budget helped me understand how to manage the money I had better and to save a small amount monthly for emergencies. Overall, my financial situation is already substantially improved by dealing with 2 of 5 debt problems, and I have strategies in place for the others so I'm not afraid of my phone ringing or what letters will say anymore. I cannot thank them enough for the help they have given me, they have taken all my health considerations into account and assisted with solutions for the mental health impacts that debt has as well as listening and the advisors are all fantastic!
