Avoid this platform

1
LandlordInvest is a platform I would strongly warn others to avoid. Yes, P2P lending carries risk, but the level of negligence I’ve experienced goes far beyond what any responsible platform should allow. I invested around £8,000, and have already written off £5,500 as a complete loss. The remaining balance has been overdue for nearly two years with no meaningful progress. If a borrower stops paying, you are effectively abandoned. There is no protection, no enforcement, and no serious recovery effort. At one point LandlordInvest even tried to crowdfund their own legal fees to pursue a defaulted loan, then quietly gave up and made almost no attempt to recover the debt. Borrowers face no consequences for failing to repay, and lenders are left carrying the full financial damage. In my experience, LandlordInvest offers weak communication, minimal action, and no real support when things go wrong. If you value your money, avoid this platform. Reviewed on: 2nd July 2026
